Iran and Switzerland sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the purpose of expanding cooperation between the two countries’ intellectual property systems.
The Memorandum was signed between the center of Intellectual Property of Real Estate Registration Organization of Iran and the Switzerland Federal Institute of Intellectual Property during the World Intellectual Property Organization General Assembly in Geneva. This Memorandum concerns cooperation in the field of sanctions applicable to intellectual property infringements, especially commercialization of geographical indications of goods with the purpose of creating a boom in the related businesses.
The center of Intellectual Property of Real Estate Registration Organization of Iran and the Switzerland Federal Institute of Intellectual Property have agreed on holding two joint events in the field of commercialization of intellectual property for universities, science and technology parks, start-ups.
The World Intellectual Property Organization General Assembly was held in Geneva, Switzerland from September 30 to October 8, 2019.
